They all work great. The body needs Essential Fatty Acids. The word “Essential” says it all. Our bodies can’t make them, so we must consume them to thrive. We can make some Omega-9, included in this product, but not enough, so it’s essential too.

Essential Fatty Acids are appropriately named. They are fats that are necessary within the human body. Though you’ve probably often heard the word “fats” and associated it with bad health, recently science has found that the main culprit is carbohydrates.

You actually do not need to consume carbs. Your body can make all it needs, from fats and proteins. So the latest and best science tells us to avoid carbohydrates and to increase fats in our diets.

Fats can come from plants or from animals, such as margarine or butter. If you’re going to heat them, the animal fats are considerably safer for you. That’s because heated fats of any kind develop cancer-causing nitrates and nitrites.

The difference is the temperature. Heated butter or lard (sizzling) gets into trouble about 90 degrees hotter than heated margarine, or olive oil or coconut oil or any plant-based fat. So you can fry eggs in butter much safer than you can fry them in margarine. In fact, you can’t fry them safely at all in plant oils. You might – might get away with cooking them slowly with plant oil in the skillet. Our advice: just use butter.

There are three basic types of essential fatty acids:

1. Omega-3 Essential Fatty Acids

Omega-3 essential fatty acids are necessary within the human body, but they can also be produced insufficiently within the body. You must be sure to have enough Omega-3 in your diet.

  • A lack of Omega-3 essential fatty acids could lead to:

In order to be sure you’re getting enough Omega-3 essential fatty acids in your diet, you should include:

2. Omega-6 Essential Fatty Acids

This is one of the ways carbohydrates damage your body. They reduce the Omega-6 in your body that your cells need. Seriously, you do not need to consume carbs at all. Your body makes all it needs from fats and proteins.

If you’re not getting enough Omega 6, and you’re probably not, try to include

.Easy Ways to Get More Essential Fatty Acids Into Your Diet

It’s not hard to add essential fatty acids to your current diet.

High heat temperatures can actually strip foods of their essential fatty acids. So if you’re using nuts, for example, to raise the levels of your essential fatty acids, eat them raw instead of roasting them.

Roasting Nuts

Some nuts need to be roasted, because they are unsafe, raw. Chestnuts, for example. Of course, you can avoid them altogether!

Check the packages of the foods you buy to see if they have high levels of essential fatty acids.

A Bad Idea:

More than one blog recommends to try sprinkling flaxseed oil (a great source of essential fatty acids) onto vegetables instead of using butter. The problem is that even flaxseed oil in a bottle develops nitrates and nitrites when air lingers in an opened bottle. Butter is Better. Add EFA or EFA PLUS from Youngevity. Or from anywhere.
